Disrespectful Employees
My wife and I went to the store (Office Max, Greensburg, PA) to pick up some pens and copy paper, as soon as we arrived at the store these employees automatically profiled us and started to harass us. We are individuals who take our time shopping, put items in the buggy, may not want the item and put it back.
I opened two sets of headphones to see if they would fit my phone, I closed the package back with the items inside of the package. A little while later we were approached by Jeremiah, a sales supervisor, who advised us that there were some concerns regarding the amount of items in our buggy, so then we asked him what policy states we can only have a specific amount of items in our cart, then he doesnt have an answer and says that other associates were concerned because there were packages opened, and I asked him if the items were still in the package. He said, yes, and we asked him what they were trying to do assume we were stealing? He told us to have a good day and walked off.
We continued to shop, and as we came around the corner we seen police officers coming in. We walked up to them and told them what had happened, they CONFIRMED that we were not stealing and asked if we still wanted to make the purchase and we said Absolutely not. The police officers were even appalled by having to respond to this call. This was so embarrassing to say the least.
I have never been disrespected, discriminated, or profiled in this kind of manner.
We are individuals who work for what we have and to think that employees could be so unprofessional, and degrading is very surprising. I feel as though these employees should be fired.

I bought a HP cartridge for my printer black XL it was expensive. The expiration date was stamped May of 2023.

Dishonest Employee
Your "Ready for Pick Up" notices caused significant problems. I received a text message as well as this email(below) stating that my order was ready for "pick up".
The order was an office chair which I also paid to have assembled. I drove to the store to pick up my order only to discover that it was not ready. When I told the manager that I received the "ready for pick up" messages, the manager implied that I did not read the messages correctly or that I was lying about what they said. The manager told me that the messages I received said that the order had only been "picked" and did not say it was "ready for pick up".
This was a lie that he told me to make it appear that it was my own fault that I drove all the way to the store to pick up my order. I then showed him the actual message I received that said my order was "ready for pick up".
The manager then said that somebody was coming in at 11:00am and he was going to have them assemble the chair. There were two female sales representatives that were present when this all occurred.
There was no apology from the manager after I proved that I was correct. I had to settle for a display model which was a different color to keep from making another trip.
The way the manager handled this situation should be unacceptable to OfficeMax.
There should be no place at OfficeMax for a dishonest employee whom lies in an attempt to blame the customer for their inconvenience, and then doesn't apologize after he gets caught.

My husband purchased a small plastic footstool on 10/2 for use in my office. Our local store did not carry it, necessitating driving 45 minutes away to purchase.
When found, box was damaged, clerk assured him it was in good condition. When opened it was evident the footstool was larger than needed. My husband return footstool 10/26 at our local store. The clerk was rude, assumed the product was damaged, told him the return was overdue (14 days) and would not refund his credit card.
He was issued a store credit. We've since found out all furniture purchased requires 14 day return status. We have difficulty believing a plastic footstool be considered as furniture.
That aside my husband was not informed of this when product was purchased. We are very dissatisfied with the way this was handled, will not be visiting Office Max in the future and will advise others to do the same.

You know you were dead wrong opening sealed packages that the store will probably have difficulty selling now, if they are able to sell the items at all. You sound like a very self-entitled and selfish person. The store should have requested you be trespassed from coming back.
